Geography
The geography is very like the land of the Middle Colonies. The Appalachian Mountains are in the Northwest and Atlantic coastal plains on the East coast. New Jersey is bordered by the Hudson and Delaware Rivers. The soil was fertile soil, suitable for farming. After years of farming, the soil still hasn't been worn out. We live right by the coast giving us the cool ocean breeze. We have moderate temperatures, not too cold like the North or too hot like the South.
Other Colonies
The New England Colonies have very rocky soil not suitable for farming. Since it is located in the North, they have short growing seasons, so they can't grow cash crops. The Southern Colonies have a hot and humid weather. It's hard to work when you're all sweaty and sticky. But in New Jersey, the soil is easy to work with and it has cool temperatures.
Land: Price of Land and Purchase amount
There's plenty of land for incoming settlers. The purchase is about 100 acres of land for 50 pounds and 10 shillings. It also depended on the sea passage price (the cost of the sail) and how many people are in a family, for instance, a man with a wife and two children would be given 200 acres of land (50 acres per person).
