Government
New Jersey's government is an Assembly of Colonists. In this system of government, all white males could vote for most officials. All free people could vote, had a legislature, and a governor. This system contributed to the ideology of Democratic and political freedom.
Controlling Government
Compared to many other colonies, New Jersey has a stronger sense of Independence when it comes to government. For example, take Massachusetts. Massachusetts has a strong, controlling government, because they believe that everyone should learn and write, and comprehend the Bible. New Jersey has a stable government, which leans toward Democracy. Moving to this colony would help many people have more freedom in having a voice in their government.
